The Connection

 The Connection

We have a certain connection with people, it might be family, friends, business associates, workers, school mates, this list can go on and on and on etc.., Our connections come from all different circumstances we have been given in our life.  God made most of us to want to interact with people.  He has made some to be leaders, some to be followers, some to be listeners, some to be talkers, some to be doers, some to be prayer warriors the list can go on and on.

We are given opportunities in our life through our connections to either help someone or something, or to hinder someone or something from getting to the next level.  Hmm, what do I mean by next level?  I feel everyone’s spiritual growth comes in levels the more you read and understand God’s word the more you can apply what he is trying to share with everyone.  Just because someone is not able to do the things you do  does not mean  God is or has hindered them.  I used to think (closed minded) like this.  I would say things like it is not my fault they chose that life style or they chose to use their money for other things then to help themselves or their families. It dawnwed on me Jesus never hated the sinners Romans chapter 3 : 23.,  for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God; he hated the sin.  Then I thought about ,

“ THE WEDDING BANQUET”

.  When Jesus was telling this parable who did he say was invited to the Banquet.  Mathew chapter 22 : 1 – 14

Our connections with people changes constantly and yet they stay the same. For example the story of the prodical son.  The father loved his son enough to let him go yet he always anticipated his return.  The Bible tells us he saw him coming from a distance and basically started a big celebration for him.  How hard was it for his older brother to hear from his father come celebrate with me your brother who was dead is now alive.  Ah,  here is a thought to consider we are the older brother and every time we get jealous, upset, mad put any adjective here that you want we are being the prodical son’s older brother.  The older brother was obedient yet just for a moment he lost sight of the true prize.  I have been guilty of doing this myself put any reason here you would like I have used them all.

This is something that took me a long time to understand in order for the father to see him coming off in adistance; he had to be looking for him.  This deserves repeating  he the “FATHER”, had to be looking for him.  God is constantly looking for us to return to him.  He wants all his children to come to him but…..

Lets take it farther he wants us to be the older brother  or sister to the lost.  We need to help each other  reach their goal of making it to the “Banquet“.  What would happen if we would look at things through God’s eyes instead of our own?  What if we would help each other out as if they were our own family members.  So, you see each day the “THE FATHER” had a connection.  The father to the son, he did not want to miss his child coming back to him.  Luke chapter 15 : 20 (So, he got up and went to his father ”But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son and threw his arms around him and kissed him).

God’s connection with his children is constant, the story of the prodical son  tells us he is always watching for us to come to him.  We choose to be intement with God or we choose to be distant.  Our heavenly Father  does not want anyone to be left behind  so he is waiting for the lost the weary the tired , the hurt , the orphaned, to make it perfectly clear he is waiting on everyone  to have a personal connection with him

Jeremiah chapter 6 : 16

( This is what the Lord says: “Stand at the crossroads and look; ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is, and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls”).

Remember to Hang in there because… were gonna get there.
